Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely).
• Order details — items ordered, delivery/collection preferences, special instructions, and order history.
• Delivery information — delivery address and contact details for fulfilment.
• Payment information — payments are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited (for security and site improvement).
• Communications — messages you send via contact forms, email, or phone.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data only for normal app and website functionality:

• Account creation, login, and authentication
• Food ordering and delivery / collection fulfilment
• Customer communication (order updates and support)
• Payment processing (via Stripe for online card payments only)
• Prevent fraud and maintain security
• Comply with legal and accounting obligations

Chicken Spot does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising, does not use customer/payment data for advertising or retargeting, and does not share personal data with data brokers.

• Legitimate interests — to improve our service, prevent fraud, and keep our site secure.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

• Stripe — solely to process online card payments. Stripe is not used for advertising, retargeting, or cross-app tracking.
• Delivery partners / drivers — only what is needed to deliver your order
• IT and hosting providers — who help us run the website and app
• Authorities — if required by law

6. Cookies and tracking

Our website and mobile app use essential cookies / session data to keep you logged in, remember your basket, and operate the service securely. We do not embed advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, or cross-app tracking tools (such as Meta/Facebook Ads, Google Ads, AppsFlyer, or Adjust) in the Chicken Spot mobile app.

7. Data retention & account deletion

Account data is kept while your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from the mobile app (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account) or from the website Delete Account page. Deletion removes your name, email, phone, addresses, profile information, and other personal/contact data that is not legally required to be retained. You are then signed out and cannot sign in with the deleted account.

Order and payment transaction records may be retained in anonymised form where required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and related personal data (as described above)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request data portability

To exercise these rights, use in-app account deletion or contact us using the details on our Contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login details private.

10. Children’s privacy

Our online ordering service is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you believe we have collected data from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of our website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
